Dating back to the first half of the 19th century, Villa Ferraio is a historic Napoleonic-era residence on Elba Island, built during the Emperor’s exile on the island. It preserves the elegance of that era, expressed in a contemporary yet always authentic style. A true oasis of charm, located in the countryside just a few kilometers from Portoferraio, with an incredible view of the gulf of the Medici city.

Villa Ferraio – Bed & Breakfast is immersed in greenery, silence, and peace, yet it is close to the sea. An “island within the island.” An oasis, a refuge, but also a way of life—both for us, who live here every day, and for the guests who choose us for their vacation.

SPACES
Spacious areas surrounded by nature: a garden filled with historic statues and vibrant kumquat trees, cozy wicker sitting areas, and a table where breakfast or dinner is enjoyed. We know from experience that immersion in these spaces generates feelings of peace and relaxation. We take care of you, and of the island within you.
THE VILLA AND ROOMS
For our guests, we offer two rooms—each unique, but both designed with great attention to detail to make them welcoming and beautiful, ensuring you feel comfortable.
The Pink Room
A large room with a double bed, a big window, and a French door opening onto the outdoors. En-suite bathroom with a bathtub. Equipped with air conditioning. Kettle available.
The N Room
A spacious room with a double bed. Features two windows, with side and front sea views. The private bathroom, exclusively for this room, is external—right across from the entrance door. With a shower. Equipped with air conditioning. Kettle available.
Additionally, there are lounges and sitting areas to read, listen to music, and play games. We offer a home library, our collection of DVDs, and free WiFi in both living and sleeping areas.

Breakfast at Villa Ferraio is an essential moment to start the day with energy and well-being while enjoying the delights of our kitchen and local products. Guests can savor homemade cakes and cookies, fresh bread, jams, fruit, cheese, and eggs — a breakfast that prioritizes local, authentic, and richly flavored ingredients.

In summer, Villa Ferraio—wrapped in silence, surrounded by greenery, and gazing upon the sea—becomes an invaluable retreat. Coming back in the evening after a day at the beach, immersing yourself in the glow of fireflies and the songs of crickets and cicadas, is priceless.
We hope you get to experience Elba Island throughout the year—in every season—to truly know it and appreciate its beauty. Villa Ferraio is the ideal base for trekking, diving, cycling, golf, work trips, or simply relaxing.
In winter, Villa Ferraio takes on the colors of fire—a cherished element on this island, where ironworking played a crucial role, giving our villa its name. We light fires in our fireplaces, cook over embers, and let the warmth generated within us linger. The intimacy grows.

We offer exclusive experiences designed to elevate your stay.
We are available to arrange wine and olive oil tastings, boat trips, trekking, e-bike tours, cultural excursions, yoga classes, massages, cooking lessons, and painting courses. And just a few kilometers away, golf enthusiasts can visit the local club.
Guests can also purchase a card granting access to services at a nearby 4-star hotel (restaurant/bar/swimming pool/private beach), offering a convenient and organized spot, especially during peak tourist seasons.
On request, we provide boat docking services with full amenities and boat/rubber dinghy rentals.
